POLICE LOG: Tic Tac Causes Crash Near Mall

Dec. 17 – At 4:34 p.m., police were dispatched to a two-car accident on Mishawum Road. According to police, one car rear-ended another when the driver reached down for a Tic-Tac mint. Everyone involved refused medical treatment, said police.

Dec. 17  –

At 11:02 a.m., police were called to the West Marine parking lot on Mishawum Road. According to police, a tractor trailer truck hit a metal pole and sign, but did not knock it over. There were no reported injuries or other damages.

At 11:48 a.m., police responded to Winn Street for a report of a building window damaged by two BB gun pellets. According to police, the angle of the holes indicate that the pellets were fired from the Federal Street area.

At 4:01 p.m., police responded to Kilby Street for a possible breaking and entering attempt. According to police, the resident reported having problems using his key and he observed fresh damage on the door and door frame around the dead bolt.

At 5:47 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Presidential Way near Raytheon. According to police, a witness reported one driver was speeding and struck another as it was attempted to turn left into Raytheon. Another witness told police that the driver turning into the parking lot did so against a red light.

At 7:26 p.m., a Woburn woman reported being threatened. According to police, the woman was threatened via text message and through a phone call to her brother. Police advised the woman to seek a restraining order and to call 911 if she was in fear of her safety.

At 7:58 p.m., a Woburn man reported his car vandalized while parked in the Walnut Street lot.

At 8:54 p.m., a report was filed regarding a Dec. 12 wallet theft from Boston Rock Gym. According to police, the wallet was taken from a locker in the men’s room.
