Police Log: Two Arrested for Violating Abuse Prevention Orders

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, March 17

At 2:36 p.m., police responded to Lexington Street after a motorist struck a pole. The driver said she lost her brakes. She crashed over the curb and then into a utility pole. She was not injured. The vehicle suffered front-end damage and was towed from the scene.

 

Tuesday, March 18

At 10:20 a.m., police responded to Washington Street after a driver struck a highway sign/post. The driver said he lost control of the vehicle. Police confiscated a baggie of marijuana as well as a bong that was in the armrest. He was taken to the hospital. The vehicle suffered damage to the front right tire and right side and was towed from the scene.

At 10:44 a.m., police responded to Main Street about an abandoned motor vehicle in a parking lot. Police found the 2005 Toyota Sienna with white powder all over the front seats and blood on a sheet covering the driver’s seat. Detectives investigated the white powder, which was from a fire extinguisher. Police went to Harrison Avenue where the car’s owner lives and spoke to the man’s brother. He said someone attempted to light the car on fire. He didn’t know the whereabouts of his brother. The man said he would try to contact his brother and tell him to pick up the vehicle at the towing company.

At 1:35 p.m., police arrested Susan Elizabeth Lepera, 40, 11 Cheryl Lane, Walham, and charged her with violating an abuse prevention order.

At 3:20 p.m., police responded to Winn and Pleasant streets after a two-car accident. There were no reported injuries. One car was towed from the scene.

At 7:13 p.m., a Walnut Court resident reported a hit-and-run accident. A white truck reportedly struck her parked car and fled the area. There was moderate damage to the vehicle. Police took a report.

 

Wednesday, March 19

At 3:26 a.m., police arrested Robert Michael Phillips, 21, 4439 N Uber St., Philadelphia, PA, and charged him with assault and battery in violation of an abuse prevention order and violating an abuse prevention order.
