Police Log: Two Drivers Cited After Separate Accidents

Tuesday, April 8

At 10:20 a.m., police placed an intoxicated 46-year-old Woburn man into protective custody after a report of an unwanted man who was drunk on Eastern Avenue. The man suffered cuts when he struck the police cruiser’s protective glass multiple times while being taken to the police station. The injuries were minor and he didn’t need medical attention.

At 12:18 p.m., police responded to Main Street after a car accident in the Woburn Center rotary. A truck driver entered the rotary and was turning onto Pleasant Street when another vehicle made a wide turn in an attempt to pass the truck. The car struck the right side of the truck. There were no reported injuries.

At 1:17 p.m., police responded to Commerce Way and Atlantic Avenue after a two-car accident. The two drivers said they both had green lights. There were no reported injuries. One vehicle was towed. One of the drivers was cited for failing to yield.

At 3:38 p.m., police responded to a three-car accident on Commerce Way. A driver rear-ended another car, which then struck a third car. There were no reported injuries. Police cited the driver for following too close.
