Police Log: Woburn Man Charged With Assaulting Pregnant Woman
Sunday, May 18
At 9:06 a.m., a Parker Street resident reported someone damaged his mailbox. A neighbor told him of hearing a loud bang at 11 p.m. the previous night. Police believe the mailbox was part of a rash of damaged mailboxes in Woburn. Ninety minutes later, a Ledgewood Road resident reported his mailbox was also destroyed by an unknown object.
Monday, May 19
At 8:46 a.m., a Washington Street resident said his son stole his father’s TV and hasn’t paid him back for a $2,800 loan. Police suggested he seek complaints for the two offenses in Woburn District Court.

At 9:56 a.m., police arrested Mark A. Laporta, 34, 208 Washington St., Woburn, and charged him on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

Tuesday, May 20
At 12:02 a.m., police arrested Craig P. Tatarouns, 36, 60 Fowle St., Apt. A, and charged him with assault and battery on a pregnant woman. Police made the arrest after a call about a domestic disturbance. Tatarouns reportedly grabbed the woman and threw her on a bed during an argument.
At 7:26 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Commerce Way and the Route 93 off-ramp. A driver on Commerce Way reportedly went through a red light and was struck by a vehicle from the off-ramp. One driver with neck pain was taken to a hospital. The driver on Commerce Way was cited for a red light violation. Both vehicles were towed.
