POLICE LOG: Woman Caught Stealing Lobsters

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 11 – At 5:51 p.m., police were called to Market Basket for a report of a disturbance. According to police, a 53-year-old woman was caught stealing two lobsters by employees. When the employees stopped the woman, she began yelling and threatening the workers. Police told the woman she was to leave the area and not return to the store.

Sept. 11 –

At 8:32 a.m., a rental car company reported four rims and tires stolen from a car parked in the lot.

At 8:43 a.m., police responded to a medical aid at a Linscott Road building. According to police, a man fell and then collapsed. The man was taken to Winchester Hospital.

At 9:18 a.m., a Burlington man reported his car damaged while it was parked in a Cambridge Road parking lot.

At 11:09 a.m., a Billerica woman reported being harassed by her daughter’s landlord in Woburn. According to police, the woman said the landlord told her that her daughter “should start looking for somewhere else to live.”

At 11:25 a.m., a woman reported a co-worker sexually harassed her at their Woburn job. According to police, the man has made several sexually suggestive comments to the woman while at work, including grabbing his crotch and talking about oral sex. Police spoke to the man’s boss who said that an internal investigation is being conducted. Police also advised the woman to seek a harassment protection order against the man.

At 12:51 p.m., a Melrose man reported his car damaged while it was parked on Main Street during a funeral.

At 3:17 p.m., police responded to a three-car accident on Montvale Avenue at the Route 93 on-ramp. According to police, one car struck a car going through the green light, causing it to hit a third car. The driver was cited for a red light violation.

At 5:05 p.m., police received a report of an erratic driver on Forest Glen Road. Police found the car, parked outside a home on Forest Glen, and spoke to the driver. The officer reported the driver appeared fine.

At 5:20 p.m., officers were called to Salem Street for a report of a fight between two teenaged boys. According to police, two teens fought and a third broke up the fight, and was hit several times in the process. The teen refused medical treatment.

At 5:27 p.m., a 42-year-old Woburn man was summonsed to Woburn District Court for assault and battery (domestic). According to police, the victim stated the man placed both hands on his face and caused pain after a fight about sports.

At 6:09 p.m., a Bedford Road man reported his motorcycle cover stolen.

At 6:57 p.m., police received a report of a woman yelling for help in the area of Main Street and Montvale Avenue. According to police, a woman said she was driving with another woman when the pair argued, and the other woman jumped out of the car and began running on Main Street. When police arrived, the woman was gone from the area. Police were able to contact the woman on the phone and she said she was fine.
