Police Log: Woman Reports Being Harassed by Neighbor for Years

Tuesday, March 11

At 5:08 p.m., a Waverly Road resident reported being harassed by a neighbor for about eight years when the man began leaving diapers on the woman’s vehicle. The neighbor has also allegedly yelled at her, made comments about her clothing and has thrown dog feces into her yard. Police gave the woman a harassment victim’s rights form.

At 5:39 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Montvale Avenue. A vehicle stopped in traffic was reportedly rear-ended by another vehicle. The driver in the second vehicle said he could not see because of solar glare. There was moderate front-end damage to the second vehicle and minor rear-end damage to the first vehicle. There were no injuries.

Wednesday, March 12

At 1:11 p.m., a Woburn woman reported that a woman was harassing her. She said she was driving on Bedford Road toward Winn Street when she saw the other woman driving on the other side of the road. The other woman reportedly flashed her lights and drove onto the other side of the road, almost striking the woman’s vehicle head on, the woman claimed. Police took a report.

At 1:42 p.m., a Salem Street business reported three pallets of ice melt were stolen. Each pallet contained 49 bags of ice melt valued at $2,500 for each pallet. The company hired another company to deliver the pallets, but they were not delivered. The Woburn business tired to contact the delivery company, but the number is no longer in service.

At 2:10 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Main and Lowell streets. A driver was taking a left onto Lowell Street when another vehicle struck the car. The driver of the vehicle going straight was reportedly speeding to beat the red light. The vehicle that was going straight bounced over the sidewalk and onto the common area where it struck a snowbank. The driver of the vehicle going straight was cited for speeding. There were no reported injuries.

At 6:04 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Montvale Avenue. A vehicle was pulling onto Montvale Avenue when it struck another vehicle. Both vehicles susntinated significant damage and were towed from the scene. The driver of the vehicle that pulled onto Montvale Avenue was cited for failing to yield onto coming traffic when turning left.
