Police Log: Woman Reports Burlington Man Stole Her Keys

At 6:26 p.m., police responded to Olympia Avenue after a hit-and-run accident. The car was parked in a business’ parking lot and employees thought that a delivery truck may have struck the parked car. There was heavy damage to the side of the car. The business left a message for the delivery company.

At 10:58 p.m., police responded to Elm Street after a woman reported that her boyfriend, a 54-year-old Burlington man, reportedly stole keys her. They were in parked car discussing their relationship issues when the woman said the man stole the keys, left the vehicle, got into his own car and drove away. Police called the man, who returned to the scene. He acknowledged sitting in the vehicle, but said he did not take the keys. Police said there is probable cause to summons the man for larceny from a person.
