Featured Incident

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, at about 3:30 p.m. police were called to Salem Street for a report of larceny.

Upon officer arrival, the reporting party told police that the business is moving and they are clearing out their inventory. On the previous Monday, the caller noticed that there were two Golden Technology Light Rider scooters in stock. Today at about 9:30 a.m., he noticed they were missing.

During the time since the man last saw the scooters, a moving crew picked up several items to be shipped to Pennsylvania. He called the moving crew and they said they did not take the scooter.

The only other person who had access to the scooter was a former employee who was recently laid off, but had been working there on Monday for a few hours to help out.

The reporting party called the man about an hour before police arrival but did not get any response.

Police filed a report on the incident and attempted to contact the former employee to discuss what he may know about the theft.
