Search for Walgreens Suspects Remains 'Active and Ongoing'

No arrests have been made from the January 7 incident.

Police continue searching for three suspects in last week's armed robbery of Walgreens, though no arrests have been made since the January 7 incident.

"The investigation is active and ongoing," said Woburn Police Detective Ralph Coakley. "The detectives are working diligently. There is not anything new to report."Β

In the aftermath of the incident, Woburn Police and District Attorney Marian Ryan released the security footage from the crime. During the incident, three men rushed into the store with guns, zip tied a clerk and demanded another employee to open the cabinet so they could access narcotics.

The second employee was then assaulted as the men ripped off her engagement and wedding rings and fled the store with a large amount of drugs.

Tips have been coming in to police since the footage was release, but as Coakley said, the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Woburn Police Detectives at (781) 933-1212.
