UPDATED: One Person Killed in Route 93 Crash

The accident occurred near Commerce Way exit.

UPDATED at 10:21 a.m. Tuesday: Massachusetts State Police said the accident involved two vehicles -- a car and a box truck.

The box truck rolled over off the road. 

Changing an earlier statement, State Police said that it's unclear which vehicle contained the person who died in the crash.

"We are still awaiting definitive information about the parties involved and which vehicle was occupied by the decedent," according to State Police. 

UPDATED at 10:07 a.m. Tuesday: Massachusetts State Police have confirmed one person was killed in the crash. The victim's motor vehicle rolled over, said State Police.

The two right travel lanes are closed to traffic. 

The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section have responded, along with Troop A patrols, said police.

Public safety personnel are at the scene of a serious crash that reportedly involved a box truck and two other vehicles on Route 93.

The accident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 93 North near Commerce Way. An eyewitness at the scene said the box truck is on its side about 15 feet off the road and a car is underneath it. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash, according to the eyewitness.

It’s unknown how many lanes are now closed. Avoid the area if possible.
