Two shoplifters tried to flee Lowe’s Home Improvement with more than $1,500 worth of products on Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to Lowe’s after the suspects, a man and a woman, fled from the store’s loss prevention officers and left the items outside the store.

The man was described as being in his 50s, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall who was balding with spiky white hair. He was wearing a gray shirt and tan pants.

They reportedly tried to take more than 20 items that ranged in price from $.99 to $220.

Police reviewed surveillance video and saw that two vehicles were involved in the shoplifting: a four-door gray car and a black pickup truck. There were other people in the vehicles, in addition to the two shoplifting suspects.

Lowe’s told police that the woman was involved in past larcenies in other stores. Lowe’s had even put a “be on the lookout” for her.

Police are investigating.
