String of Vehicle Break-Ins Reported

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

July 26- 

At 6:46 a.m. police responded to a Locust Street residence on a report of a vehicle break-in. The caller said he had parked his vehicle the past afternoon and when he went to leave for work that morning he noticed someone had been inside and rummaged through his property. He said a speed detector worth $100 was missing. 

There was no damage to the vehicle so it was likely left unlocked.

At 7:53 a.m. a woman reported her motor vehicle was broken into sometime the night before when it was parked at Woodbridge Station on Cambridge Road. She said it may have been left unlocked. The only thing she noticed missing was the vehicle registration.

At 8:50 a.m. police responded to a Bedford Road residence on a report of a motor vehicle break-in. The caller said that his two motor vehicle were broken into the night before. They had both been left unlocked. There was nothing missing from one vehicle but three iPods were stolen from his Ford pick up truck. The iPods were worth a total of about $400.

While police were taking the report, a neighbor of the victim stopped by and told police his vehicle had also been broken into and a $150 blue tooth device was stolen.

 

At 10:24 a.m. police responded to a Locust Street location on a report of a motor vehicle break-in. The caller said he had parked the vehicle in front of his building the past afternoon. When he went out to it this morning he found that it had been rummaged through but that nothing was missing. He said he had locked the vehicle and that it was still locked when he went out this morning and noticed it had been entered.

 

At 10:48 a.m. police responded to a Samoset Road residence on a report of vandalism. They met with the caller who said that sometime after 9 p.m. the night before someone threw eggs at his house. That morning he found an egg smashed on the vinyl siding beside his front door and one above on the second floor.

Other Incidents

July 26-

At 11:23 a.m. a woman came to the station to report a stolen suitcase. The woman said that the day before that her suitcase was stolen while she was brining items to her vehicle on Allen Street. She had left the suitcase outside while she went inside and when she returned it was gone.

She said the suitcase had a soft case, was black on red in color and as on rollers. There were DVDs, CD’s, clothing and various items inside. There was also a laptop computer and an iPhone charger. In total the items taken were worth about $510.

At 1:28 p.m. a man came to the station to report the theft of garden tools. He said his tools were stolen from the community garden behind Iannacci’s farm stand. He said that on July 24 he entered his garden at the community center to spray some vegetables and noticed his Neem oil spray as missing as was a garden scratcher and two pairs of scissors. The total amount of the items stolen was about $40.

 

July 27-

At 11:02 a.m. police responded to Woodbridge Station on Cambridge Road on a report of a past motor vehicle breaking and entering. The caller said that sometime overnight on July 25 someone entered her unlocked Jeep Liberty that was parked n front of her residence. The suspect(s) took a GPS unit and a cantaloupe. The cantaloupe was found smashed on the ground in the parking lot.

According to police there were other breaking and entering of motor vehicle in the area during the same timeframe.
