Featured Incident

On Monday, Dec. 16, at about 3 p.m. an officer was called to Manning Street for a breaking and entering.

The homeowner told police that sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. someone smashed a pane of glass on the home's side door and entered the home.

According to the resident, the suspect went through three upstairs bedrooms and stole some jewelry and money. The resident was unable to provide an exact list of items that were taken because most of them were taken from his wife and son.

Among the items known to be taken were some jewelry, clothing, and items from a son who no longer lives in the home.

Police spoke to neighbors hoping to find someone who may have witnesses suspicious activity.

One neighbor said she was shoveling her home when she saw a gray or silver sedan idling on the street. The operator, a white woman wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt, then pulled into the driveway.

Detectives were able to find some possible evidence from the scene and filed a report on the incident.
