A Woburn teen was charged after allegedly cutting a man with a knife during an altercation on Mill Street.
Police responded to Mill Street early Saturday about a disturbance that may have involved drugs. Police arrived and found a person who said he was cut on the hand by another person. A second person, who is the brother of the first victim, also said he was injured in the scuffle.
The victims said they did not know the suspect’s name. Police spoke to a man who said he picked up one of the victims and the suspect when they were hitchhiking on Montvale Avenue. He said he did not know either man.
While in the car, the two men argued and got into a fight, which resulted in the victim being cut with a knife, the driver said.
The car arrived on Mill Street and the victims’ mother heard an argument outside.
Though the victims said they did not know the suspect, police saw that Steven Edward Kelley-Colon, 18, 82 Mill St., Apt. 2, was a Facebook friend of one of the victims.
Police searched the area for Kelley-Colon and spoke to people at his residence as well as a former employer. At 4:25 a.m. Saturday, Kelley-Colon turned himself into police.
He was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
