The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Featured Incidents-

August 18-

At 11:39 a.m. police responded to a Chapel Way location on a report of stolen gas. Police spoke to the call who said that over a period for the last week he has put over $300 worth of gasoline into his and his mother’s cars, both Ford Taurus’s. Neither vehicle has gone more than 50 miles apiece in that time frame. He thinks the gas is being siphoned from the tanks during the night.

Police checked the vehicle and there was no visible evidence of such activity at the fuel filler of the vehicles, nor on the ground where they are normally parked.

Police advised the caller to keep outdoor lighting on at night to discourage any clandestine activity and to ask his neighbors if they have had any similar issues.
