UPDATE: Main Street Walgreens Robbed at Gunpoint

Scanner reports indicate the incident happened around 8 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Updated Tuesday at 8:53 p.m.: One of the early scanner reports on Twitter indicated that the men zip tied a cashier before leaving the area. A Woburn Police source, however, could not confirm or deny that information.

Updated Tuesday at 8:48 p.m.: 
A Woburn Police source confirmed on Tuesday night that Walgreens was robbed as two men showed guns after entering the business.

According to police, the men fled up Eaton Ave. and officers believe they had a car waiting in the area to help them escape.

Original Story, Tuesday at 8:25 p.m.: According to scanner reports, an armed robbery took place Tuesday night on Main Street in Woburn.

Just before 8 p.m., scanner reports indicate that Walgreens at 675 Main Street was robbed at gunpoint by at least two individuals.

One Twitter user who follows scanner reports indicated that two men, one with a grey sweatshirt and one with a black sweatshirt, entered the store carrying guns and a black bag.

The men reportedly fled the scene in an older model Jeep, according to the reports.
