Featured Incident

On Friday, Nov. 22, an officer was called to Kerrigan Way for a reported house break.

Officers were met with a cleaning woman who said she arrived at 8:45 a.m. and found the rear door had been smashed in. After quickly exiting, she called her company and they informed her she should call the police.

Police went to the rear of the building and confirmed that the sliding door was smashed in. Officers entered the home and cleared searched for any possible perpetrators, finding none.

The house was found to be in disarray. On both the first and second floors, all rooms had been tampered with as well as the closets and bureaus. It appeared that all larger items like televisions and computers were left behind.

While speaking with a witness, police also noticed that a second neighboring home had also been broken into. Two screens on the ground floor had been removed and a window had been opened. Also, the cellar door in the rear of the home was ajar.

Upon entering that home, officers found the basement to be undisturbed except for the open window. However, upon arriving on the first floor, police again found all rooms disturbed with large items left behind.

Police spoke with neighbors, who indicated that both families were out of the country on separate trips to India at the time of the break ins.
