Two Men Charged With Dealing Drugs

Police have fielded complaints and received information about potential drug activity at the Extended Stay America hotel.

Woburn Police with the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force arrested two alleged drug dealers on Tuesday.

Police arrested Carlos Jose Baez-Daniel, 29, 58 Hope St., Apt. 2, Roslindale, and Brian P. Riordan Jr., 39, 831 Main St., Apt. 104, Woburn.

Baez-Daniel was charged with distributing a Class A drug (heroin), distributing a Class B drug (cocaine) and conspiracy to violate drug law. Riordan was charged with possessing a Class A drug (heroin) to distribute, possessing a Class B drug (cocaine) to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug law and a warrant for motor vehicle violations out of Woburn District Court for failing to complete community service.

Woburn Police and the SMRDTF have been investigating heroin and cocaine sales and distribution operations in Woburn and surrounding communities.

Police have fielded complaints and information about potential drug activity at the Extended Stay America hotel. Police said Riordan was received heroin for distribution from Baez-Daniel, according to police.

At around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, detectives set up surveillance at the Extended Stay Hotel and watched Baez-Daniel reportedly sell drugs to Riodran for the Woburn man to sell.

Police made the arrests and confiscated baggies containing heroin and cocaine.
