Vehicle Break-In Reported, Pool Fence Cut and Evidence of Late Night Party

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

July 29-

At 7:24 p.m. police responded to a Carter Street location on a report of larceny from a motor vehicle. Police spoke to the caller who said that at about 1:15 p.m. he returned home and noticed his vehicle was unlocked. He said he always locks his vehicle and that he did so on that day. He searched his vehicle and found the faceplate to his JVC stereo was missing. He said nothing else was taken including the stereo itself. The caller said he didn’t have any idea who the suspect could be.

At 8:49 a.m. police responded to a Medford Street location on a report of a bad check. The caller said she notice don her bank statement a $650 check made out to a man she didn’t know that was cashed on July 26. She said she never wrote that check. She also said she had since notified her bank and cancelled the account.

 

At 11:43 a.m. police responded to the Schelzi Pool Recreation area on a report of vandalism. A fence had been dismantled in such a way as to give access to the pool after hours. There was also a lot of alcoholic beverage containers in the area. It appeared a group had been partying between the pool and basketball court.

 

At 12:41 p.m. police responded to American Homecare Specialists at 323 New Boston Road on a report of a past larceny. The caller said she had announced earlier that day that she was going to get coffee for her coworkers but since she only had five $100 bills she asked for smaller bills. Later that day she noticed the money was missing from her purse and she suspected a woman who worked next to her.

The woman denied stealing the money.

 

At 1:10 p.m. police responded to a Carter Street residence on a report of a stolen BMX bike. The bike was described as black with a rusty chain with blue stickers and a Fit Bike sticker. It was stolen from the driveway.

The caller also said she found a cell phone and house key on the front wall of her yard. These items were taken as evidence in a string of motor vehicle break-ins in the area.
