UPDATE: WFD Battled Two-Alarm Fire on Salem

Traffic back to normal.

 

Woburn Fire was on scene at a two-alarm blaze Tuesday night. 

According to WFD, Rescue 1 reported seeing heavy fire at a vacant home at Salem and Pine streets at 5:45 p.m. A second alarm was struck by fire officials moments later.

Reports stated that the fire was in an unoccupied one-story ranch home at 250 Salem St. and was knocked down by firefighters around 6 p.m. Woburn Fire was overhauling the scene at 6:15 p.m.

Emergency medical workers were reportedly called to the scene for an unknown injury.

Traffic is affected in the area due to the fire at 6:15 p.m.

UPDATE: 6:50 p.m.—Woburn Police reported traffic was calmed in the area and the MBTA would resume its bus service on Salem Street at 7 p.m.
