Woman Caught Shoplifting Underwear at Kohl's

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

At 8:30 p.m. police responded to Kohl’s Department Store on a report of shoplifting. Police spoke to the a loss prevention officer who stated they had a female party detained for shoplifting. Loss prevention believed the woman was wearing two pairs of underwear under her clothing and was being uncooperative when questioned. Police advised her to be honest. She then admitted to having the items on her person and was escorted to a dressing room with a female loss prevention officer so the store could get the items back. Loss prevention also found a pair of stolen sunglasses on the woman. 

Kohl’s issued a no trespass order to the woman. The total value of the items she attempted to shoplift was $44.

Other Incidents 

July 17-

At 1:31 p.m. police responded to the Extended Stay Hotel on  a report of a out of control customer. Police spoke to the hotel manager who pointed out a male sitting in the lobby. The manager said he had been removed from the hotel and there was a dispute over the bill. She said she had walked away and went inside her office after an argument with the man and he tried to get into her office.

Police spoke to the man who said he got a price for a weeks stay from another employee the week before and now the bill was $195 more than he was quoted. He said there was an argument with manager over the bill.

The manager said that if the man left right away she would take the $195 off the bill. Police escorted the man to his room to get his belongings. The man’s name was added to the hotel’s “do not serve” list.

 

At 4:18 p.m. police responded to a Creston Avenue residence on a report of threats. Police spoke to the caller who said her ex-boyfriend had threatened her life over the phone earlier that day. She said she had been with the man for the past four years and he had been verbally abusive and she had asked him to leave early in July.

The caller said the day before she had met with the man at the Woburn Police Station to exchange a key for a storage unit they share. She said she removed her items but left all of his in the unit. When he called he claimed she had taken some of his items.

While police were speaking with the caller the ex-boyfriend pulled up at the residence and began telling them that she was lying. He said she had his belonging in her apartment, which she denied. Police checked the apartment with the caller’s permission and did not see any of the items described by the man.

Police advised the ex-boyfriend of the proper procedure in regards to the situation with his belongings.

 

July 18-

At 1:29 p.m. police responded to the Hilton Hotel to assist management with the removal of an unwanted guest. The hotel manager said a woman who was at the hotel had been acting strangely and walking around in inappropriate clothing.

Police attempted to knock and call the room but nobody answered. After multiple attempts the manager unlocked the door and entered where they found woman lying on a bed. There was drug paraphernalia in the room and the woman had track marks on her arm.

The woman began yelling at the police as she packed her bags. She then made arrangements to be picked up at a nearby gas station.
