Woman Says Acquaintance is Demanding Puppy, Making Threats

At 8:46 p.m. police responded to a Union Street residence on a report of threats made over the phone.

The caller said that she recently got a pit-bull puppy and that a man she knew kept calling her demanding that she give the puppy to him. The caller said the man also called her vulgar names and said that she would have deal with him if she did not comply. The caller said the man’s mother also called and said she would be coming by to pick up the puppy.

The caller said she had no intention of turning the puppy over and was concerned about what they might do. Police advised her on her rights to seek a Harassment Prevention Order.

At 3:38 p.m. police responded to American Tower at 10 Presidential Way on a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle. The caller showed police her vehicle that had a foot-long scratch across the hood that she said she noticed the night before. The caller said she did not know who would do this. She also said that in June she found a razor blade in her tire but did not report the incident.
