Featured Incident

On Saturday, Jan. 4, an officer was called to Best Western Hotel for an unwanted guest.

Police spoke with a clerk who said a guest in Room 216 had not paid for the room and was asked to leave. The clerk also said there had been a lot of people coming and going from the room, and she thought the guest may have been using the room for prostitution.

The room had been rented from December 28 through January 4 and paid for by a male party using a credit card.

Police knocked on the door but no one answered. The clerk attempted to gain access using a card, but the door's security look was secured from the inside. Police then attempted to kick down the door for a well-being check, but a male voice stated that he was opening the door.

Once inside the room, officers found a white male and an Asian female in the process of putting on their clothing. The male spoke to police and was cooperative as to why he was there. The woman would not speak to officers, either because she couldn't speak English or she was choosing to be uncooperative.

The man said he was there to get a massage and paid $80 for that service. He said he had gotten the number for the woman from a friend who he believes got the information from the website Back Page.

In a search of the room, there was a large sum of money found in various locations. The total amount of cash was $1,132. The money was taken by police for safe keeping.

Police kept the money for "safe keeping"? Was the man or woman charged with anything? If the hotel wanted her out for not paying for her room, why not just ask her to pay the balance and leave? If the woman was actually a prostitute, then she's probably going to get beat by her pimp. If she wasn't a prostitute then....why take her money? Were there any charges filed in this incident?

He was there for a massage? Let me get this straight. BOTH of them had to take their clothes off for HIS massage? And I'm sure she's going to report all the money she made to the government, am I right? She doesn't speak English, but I'm sure she knows how to say the word "lawyer." Please.

a clerk who said a guest in Room 216 had not paid for the room The room had been rented from December 28 through January 4 and paid for by a male party using a credit card. This incident took place on the 4th so that doesn't make any sense. I guess neither of them had a happy ending.
