Absentee Ballot Forms Available for November Election

Election Day is approaching, and residents can still vote if they'll be out of town.

Election Day is rapidly approaching, and if you're not going to be in town to cast your ballot, you can still make sure your voice is heard.

According to the City Clerk's office, absentee ballot forms are currently available for the election, which is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The position of Mayor, Alderman at Large, Ward Alderman and School Committee will be on the ballots in all wards on Election Day.

Residents must file for an application for absentee ballot by Monday, Nov. 4, at 12 p.m. According to City Clerk William Campbell, a written application must be filed by all voters seeking to vote by absentee ballot and ballots may be mailed to voters upon written request or a voter may vote by absentee ballot in the office of the City Clerk.

Residents must must be out of the city during the hours the polls are open, have a physical inability to get to the polls, or have a religious belief that prohibits the voter from voting on Election Day in order to be eligible for an absentee ballot.

Log onto the City of Woburn website for more information or to download an absentee ballot form, or call the City Clerk’s office at (781) 897-5850.
