Woburn City Clerk William Campbell said some local census mailings have been sent out with return envelopes with the wrong address for City Hall.

Campbell said some of the nearly 16,000 mailings sent to Woburn residents include envelopes with an address of the Watertown Town Clerk's Office rather than Woburn's City Clerk.

Campbell said he apologizes for any inconvenience and asks that residents mail the census to the City Clerk's Office, Woburn City Hall, 10 Common St., Woburn, MA 01801 or deliver the form in person to city hall.

He said he has made arrangements with the Watertown Town Clerk's Office to pick up any Woburn envelopes that are mailed to that office.

Here is more information about the census mailing.

Actually there was a P.O. Box # on my census, but the envelopes wouldn't fit right. You need to hand address next to window.

The City Clerk's Office said it didn't use window envelopes for the census. About 500 census forms were affected, which was one box of envelopes. The vendor's staff used one incorrect box when stuffing the envelopes.

Strange, mine contained a window envelope. I opened it and immediately filled it out.

That's a strange one, Janet!
