Inauguration Ceremony Set for Monday Night

Woburn's government will take shape as those who were elected this fall will be sworn into office on Monday night.

Woburn's government will officially take shape on Monday night as the city welcomes its recently elected officials with its inauguration ceremony.

On Monday at 7 p.m. inside Flaherty Auditorium at Woburn Memorial High School, the residents who were elected into office this fall will be sworn in.

The evening will include an inaugural address by Mayor Scott Galvin, who was voted in for a third term after a contested race against John Flaherty and Patrick Natale.

In addition to the mayor being sworn in, the victorious candidates for City Council and School Committee will also take office.

Following the inauguration ceremonies, the City Council and School Committee members will each vote for their new president.
