Kohl's Discussion Pushed Back Due to Truck Concerns

According to a report in the Daily Times Chronicle, the renovations are minor, but aldermen want to make sure all their bases are covered.

During a City Council meeting earlier this week, representatives from Kohl's proposed some minor aesthetic changes that will potentially be done in March. Though aldermen likely will approve of the changes, further discussion will need to take place after concerns were raised about trucks in the area.

According to a report in the Daily Times Chronicle, the issue came after Ward 5 Alderman Darlene Mercer-Bruen told her fellow board members that she has heard from neighbors who complained about trucks idling overnight.

As a result, the Times Chronicle reported that the planners were asked to look into whether a gate prohibiting access to behind the building could be installed. Aldermen will bring the topic back up and likely be asked to approve the plans on January 21.
