Have you and your children experienced similar issues after this week’s storm?

We’ve heard from a number of Woburn Patch readers about problems with snow removal after this week’s storm.

Readers have told us about schoolchildren needing to wait in the street because bus stops are not cleared. On Thursday, one reader told us the snow banks at one bus stop was so high that at a bus driver drove past the stop not knowing children were waiting there.

A reader told Patch she called the Mayor’s Office to complain on Thursday and workers were sent to level off piles at bus stops.

However, on Friday, a reader sent us a photo of a snow-covered bus stop at Alfred Street and Barbara Circle.

Have you and your children experienced similar issues after this week’s storm? Given the limited resources in the city, what should Woburn do to make sure bus stops are clear of snow? Let us know in the comments section below.

Perhaps we could get some parent volunteers to help

Perhaps this is a subject for the Mayor and City Council to discuss in this years City budget and collective bargaining agreement discussions [ ensure tools and equipments available??...expand some job responsibilities??...insert penalty clauses for poor performance??...etc ]

Our children's safety should be our # 1 priority. Still at this point days after the storm our bus stops are still not clear!! They will quickly fine us for late taxes, but careless about making their employees do their jobs correctly!
