Congressional Candidate Opens Campaign Office

Who is setting up a field office in a bid to win Edward Markey's former seat?

Written by John Waller

Middlesex County Sheriff Peter Koutoujian, a candidate in the 5th Congressional race to replace now Sen. Ed Markey, opened an Arlington field office Saturday at 1310 Mass. Ave.

Koutoujian, of Waltham, is the second candidate to open an office in Arlington Heights. In July, state Sen. Katherine Clark opened one at 1179 Mass. Ave.

Koutoujian’s campaign manager said the office is a sign of the campaign’s growth.

“This office is another example of our growing grassroots operation,” Chris Joyce said. “We’ve seen a jump in the number of our activists in and around Arlington, so we’re opening a local office where our supporters can host phone banks, launch canvasses, and plan strategy sessions to engage and activate Peter’s expanding base.”
