Water System Flushing This Week

Woburn's water system improvement flushing is continuing this week in the neighborhoods of Montvale Avenue at the Goodyear School to the Stoneham line.

According to the city:Β 

"The flushing will continue on Washington Street, from Salem Street to the Winchester line, and then Salem Street from Pine Street to the Stoneham line, and Pine Street from Salem Street to Central Street to the Winchester line. Also included are the Wood, Nashua and Holton Street neighborhoods.

"Flushing is expected to last for five days and will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

"Flushing operations are aimed at clearing lines of settled sediment. People living in the area of flushing operations may experience a disturbance or discolored water during the scheduled flushing work. Residents who experience flushing-related discoloration are advised the tap water run until it clears.
