Five Straight Wins Put Lady Tanners in First Place

The Lady Tanners find themselves on top of the Middlesex League standings.

The Woburn High School girls soccer team ripped off its fifth straight victory on Monday night, toppling Watertown on the road to tie Lexington for first place in the Middlesex League standings.

The Lady Tanners snagged a 2-0 win on Monday to improve their record to 6-2-1 overall and 3-1-1 in league play.

Woburn opened the year with a 1-2-1 start, but haven't lost since a 2-0 setback to Winchester on September 19. The Lady Tanners' five-game win streak included victories over Stoneham, Belmont, Arlington, Reading and Watertown.
