Lexington/Bedford Hands E1 Team Loss Sunday

Team scores once during loss.


The following text was provided by Woburn Pop Warner:

The Woburn-E1 team sponsored by the loyal order of moose and the cheer team sponsored by Roche Brothers, suffered a 27-6 loss to Lexington and Bedford.                                                                                                                                                                The game started out good, but did not stay that way. We  received and stated on our 35 yard line. Our first play was a run to the right for 2 yards by #21 Pedro  Germano . The next play was a 63 yard run to the right touch down by #70 Nick Puleo.The extra point was a run through the middle and in only to be called back on a penalty after a second penalty we came up just short.Woburns first  defensive set went like this, On the first play #55 Tyler Farren and #71 Jake Daniell made the tackle on a run middle left a 2 yard gain. The second play #7 Alex Fishlin made the stop  after a 2yard gain. On the third play # 44 Jack MacDonald &#51 Mitchel Riccardi broke through the line and made the sack for a 3 yard loss. On 4th and 9  Lexington/Bedford  broke through for a long run stopped by #48 Thyago Eller. On the  next play #44 made the tackle after a first down was made.Lexington/Bedford then went on to score the first of 4 touch downs. Our defense seemed to hold them on 1st,2nd, and 3rd downs but Lexington/Bedford came up big on 4th downs .Samual Nunes #31 did have a fumble recovery later in the game. The cheer team again was great the cheers were loud and proud.  The squad consists of Cassidy Daniell,Madison Hopkins,Madison Baretto,Haley Gifford, Catherine Thomas, Charlotte Fishlin, Caitlyn Fishlin, Isabelle Fishlin, Kaleigh Wilson, Lillian Childress,Gianna Gibson, Paige Aylward,Shayla Kelly,Gina Guarino. Great job girls keep it up.
