Sgt. Connolly Trojan B Team Defeats Malden

This past week the Sgt. Paul Connolly Trojan  Woburn B Team defeated  Malden as  Woburn’s Kyle Chorlton starts the kick off to Malden to the 25yard line.  With the help of Woburn’s Defensive line, Kyle Chute, Matthew Pollard, Jacob Walthall, Luther Thiogene, Nick Romeo, Ryan Daniell, Clifford Louis, Nelson Claude and Kyle Chorlton, Woburn stops Malden cold for a series of downs.  Colin Butcher got a 5yard return into Malden territory on the 25yard line.  Great job by Kyle Chorlton on a 15 yard run and leading Nelson Claude to a 10 yards on a 2nd play from scrimmage for the 1st TD.  The extra point attempt was blocked by Malden.

Kick off to the 20yard line and Jesus Pizarro made a great open field tackle to stop for no return.  Nick Romeo made a great tackle on the 1st down, a big 15 yard play, Malden got flagged for “block to the back” costing them a 15 yard penalty, OUCH.

Woburn now has the ball with a 1st down by Andrew Nicholas with help from the Offensive line of Joseph O’Brien, Charles O’Connor, Luke Scaramozzino, Mateus Nunes, Nic Pascuccio, Ryan Chillemi, Joseph Siverhus, Dustin Burkle, Andre Eller and Tyler Hayden.  A pass caught by Tyler Hayden for the 1st down. Kyle Chorlton gets a big 1st in goal from the 1yard line, leading Woburn for a TD by Luke Scaramozzino bringing Woburn to the lead of 12-0.  The extra point was no good.

The kick off to the 27yard line was returned to t he 34yard line by Malden with a great tackle by Nick Romeo.  Kyle Chorlton made a tackle for a 12yard loss.  Great return by Jesus Pizarro Jr. to the 9yard line from the 48yard for 1st in goal.  Great blocking by Nic Pascuccio and John Golles for Andrew Nicholas making it to the 4 yard line setting Kyle Chorlton up for a TD.  The extra point attempt was blocked. Making Woburn 18-0.

Kick off was out of-bound, Malden takes the ball on the 30yard line.  Nelson Claude made a great tackle to stop the 1st down.  Nice play by Colin Butcher to break up pass play brought back for a TD by Kyle Chorlton.  Woburn tried running the ball for the extra point and was stopped by Malden. 

Kicked to the 30yard line returned to the 31yard line by Malden. The half ends with Woburn in the lead 24-0.

The start of the 2nd half Malden kicked off to the Woburn 40yard line, a 5yard penalty on Malden for too many players on the field. Malden stopped Woburn at the 45yard line for their 1st down.  Great stop on the 47yard line.  Malden has the ball in the Woburn 20 yard line making it for 5more yards until Colin Butcher, Ryan Getherall and Nelson Claude came for the tackle.  Woburn stops Malden in its tracks at the 15yard line for the ball. Kyle Chorlton made a huge run to the 40yard line.  Pass incomplete, and another huge 20yard run for Kyle Chorlton making it 1st down.  20 more yards run for the TD by Colin Butcher.  The extra point was incomplete.

Kick off returned by Malden to the 16yard line.  Great tackling by Jacob Walthall on the 45yard line.  Malden made a great attempt on a pass, pass incomplete.  Woburn has the ball at the 45yard line with a 5yard run to end the game with a Woburn win 30-0.
