Monday Essentials: Blues Festival to Support Veterans

Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week:

1) Hot Mid-week 

Looks like a week free of rain but it will get hot. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies this week with temperatures in the mid-80s at the beginning and end. However, from Tuesday to Thursday we could see temperatures rising to the low 90s. 

2) Support a cause with a meal 

On Tuesday the Woburn Uno's Chicago Grill will donate 15% to 20% of your total bill to a team walking in support of the Alzheimer's Association. Click here for details.

3) Summer tasting 

On Friday Busa Wine & Spirits will be holding a tasting of Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka starting at 4 p.m. Deep Eddy is column-distilled in a temperature-perfect environment and uses the "finest water in Texas." It also goes through a charcoal filter 4 times. 

4) Blues Festival 

The Blues for Veterans Association will present a Library Park Blues Festival featuring headliner Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters on Saturday. Entry is $20 per person. All profits will support local veterans. 

5) Vaccinations 

Woburn Public Schools have requirements for student vaccinations/immunizations before the start of the school year.Read about the requirements and about vaccinations in general.
