Monday Essentials: DeNapoli Benefit Package Bill to be Discussed at City Council

Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week:

1) Mixed bag weather-wise 

It looks like a regular New England week as far as weather goes, meaning it will be all over the map. According to the National Weather Service we can expect rain and thunderstorms on Monday and Wednesday. Other days will be partly cloudy until the end of the week when the sun will come out. Temperatures averaging around 80 degrees.

2) DeNapoli Benefit Package 

The Woburn City Council will take up the DeNapoli benefit package during a sub-committee meeting at 6 p.m. at Woburn City Hall, Council Chamber. The most recent bill was vetoed by the mayor last week. 

3) Housing 

The Woburn Housing Authority is meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Spring Court Extension Community Room. 

4) Wine tasting 

Busa Wine & Spirits is holding a wine tasting on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. The featured wines will be from Rex Goliath, which are  "a tribute to Rex's larger-than-life personality, with big, fruit-forward flavors that are sure to please."
