Monday Essentials: Municipal Primary Highlights Week's Events

Now that the weekend is over, get ready for the week with our Monday Essentials. Here are some events planned this week:

Municipal Primary: Tuesday is an important day at the ballot box as Woburn residents will be asked to make their selections during the Municipal Primary Election. The mayoral race highlights the day as incumbent Mayor Scott Galvin is on the ballot against John Flaherty and Patrick Natale. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Girls Night Out: On Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., women of Woburn are invited to a Girls Night Out at Polcaris Restaurant for a paint and sip style party. Local artist Theresa Gritti will teach participants to paint for $35 and no experience is necessary.

Gary Leavitt Comedy: Woburn resident Gary Leavitt joins national headlining comedian Paul Nardizzi for a show called "The Joke is On You" Friday at 8:30 p.m. inside the new Tanner Tavern Comedy Room. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets can be found by emailing gary.leavitt@comcast.net.
