Flag Day Celebration Kicks Off on Friday

The fireworks cap off the event on Saturday night.

The Kiwanis Club of Woburn will begin its 35th annual Flag Day Celebration on Friday, June 13. 

The event at Library Field on Harrison AVenue in Woburn is from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 13 and 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 14. 

You can purchase a ride bracelet for unlimited rides for $18 on Friday. Note: it will only be good on Friday. 

Saturday's festivities will include DJ Kevin Gary who will play music from 5 p.m. to the end of the night. Sweet Adelines will perform from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. and the Joe Henley Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. until the end of the night. 

Mayor Scott Galvin will give a welcome address at 9 p.m.

There will also be a free drawing for bicycles for children under the age of 12 at 9:50 p.m.

The event will be capped off at 10:05 p.m. Saturday with the National Anthem by Rachael Shukan and a large fireworks display.
