Lisa Love, Football, and High School Sports Kicks Off in Woburn

There are a variety of events happening this weekend in Woburn, and here are a few of them to help you plan your time off.

Tanners Hit the FieldAfter plenty of preseason work, the regular season is finally here for Woburn High School teams. The Tanners open the 2013-14 campaign with a busy Saturday.

The boys soccer team travels to Wakefield at 10 a.m. while the girls soccer team hosts the same opponent at 10 a.m. The field hockey team also hits the field against the Warriors, facing off at 2 p.m. Each team will also play a JV game Saturday too, so check out USA Today High School Sports for the full schedule.

Lisa Love ExperienceYou can start your weekend off with a Friday night performance by the popular band The Lisa Love Experience. The popular band, which has been voted among the best wedding bands in New England, plays at Scoreboard Bar & Grill on Friday at 9 p.m.

Are You Ready for Some Football?Speaking of Scoreboard, the local business is a great place to watch the first weekend of the National Football League regular season. The bar features 40 HD televisions and will offer free wings at halftime of the Patriots game. But it's not the only place in Woburn to watch football this weekend. Where are you watching the games? Reading Hosts Street FairIf you're looking for something different to do this weekend, it's worth the short trip to Reading to check out their annual Fall Street Faire. The event is likely to draw up to 10,000 people, and includes vendors, games, and entertainment for all ages. The event runs from 12-5 p.m. on Sunday and takes place in the area of High Street and Woburn Street.
