Ronan Tynan, Red Sox Legend and Bruins Alumni in Woburn This Weekend

There are a variety of events happening this weekend in Woburn, and here are a few of them to help you plan your time off.

Woburn and the surrounding area is full of things to do this weekend. Here is a look at some of those events. 

Red Sox in Woburn: Former Red Sox Bernie Carbo, who hit a memorable pinch-hit home run in the 1975 World Series, will be at Woburn Public Library this weekend. During the event scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m., Carbo will talk about his battles with drug and alcohol addiction, his attempt at suicide and more recently his conversion to Christianity and founding of a ministry.

Ronan Rynan: The Woburn Historical Society presents "An Evening With Ronan Tynan" on Saturday at 7 p.m. inside Flaherty Auditorium at Woburn Memorial High School. The member of the Irish Tenor is well-known for singing "God Bless America" around the country, including famously each game at Yankee Stadium. Tickets are available for $10 for Historical Society members or can be purchased by visiting

Fire Hockey Game: The Woburn Fire Hockey Club will skate against Boston Bruins Black and Gold Legends during a charity game on Saturday at 7 p.m. inside Joyce Hockey Rink in Woburn. Tickets are $10 for adults, with children under 12 years old getting in for free. Tickets are being sold at the door or in advance at Station 5 on Lexington Street.

Santa Paws: Not far outside of Woburn, residents are invited to the Burlington Mall on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. to bring their pets to have a photograph taken with Santa Clause. Head over to the Patch event page for more details.
