Taverna, Tree Disposal, and Fenway Sledding This Weekend

There are a variety of events happening this weekend in Woburn, and here are a few of them to help you plan your time off.

Woburn and the surrounding area is full of things to do this weekend. Here is a look at some of those events.

Bag Up Your Tree: If the Christmas tree that brought you and the family so much joy is starting to make you a little sick, you can start preparing it for disposal. Next week is your first chance to leave it by the curb, so if you're ready you can take all the decorations off this weekend and have it ready for your regular trash pick up day.

Taverna: The Hellenic Community Center on Montvale Ave. is having a Saturday night Taverna event at 7 p.m. The event will include a cash bar, Mezzethakia plates and music by Ta Dilina. The event costs just a $10 cover charge.

Fenway Sledding: This year the Frozen Fenway hockey event running through January 13 includes a sledding hill in center field. The 20-foot high tubing ramp lasts 75 feet and residents from throughout the region can book sledding time, and time on the park's ice rink, by calling (617) 226-6791, or (800) 301-3327 if you are a Citi card holder.
