WMHS Cheerleaders Hosting Saturday Car Wash

There are a variety of events happening this weekend in Woburn, and here are a few of them to help you plan your time off.

Woburn and the surrounding area is full of things to do this weekend. Here is a look at some of those events.

Unbeaten Tanners: The Woburn High School football team is back in action on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Belmont hoping to keep its undefeated season alive. The Tanners are 4-0 on the year and finish off with four straight road games to end the campaign.

Scarecrows for Solutions: Residents have the chance on Saturday to participate in Scarecrows for Solutions at McCue Garden Center. The event asks for a $15 donation that will go towards Woburn Public Library or the Woburn Boys and Girls Club. Bring long sleeve shirts and long pants and McCue's will provide the rest for you to make a scarecrow.

Carwash for Cheerleaders: The Woburn High School cheerleading team holds a fundraising car wash on Saturday morning. The event in the City Hall parking lot will support the Lady Tanners in their upcoming 2013 competition season and quest for a state championship. Cars can be washed for $5 each.

First Annual Event: Woburn's Farmers Market is teaming up with the Woburn Guild of Artists for the first annual Arts Festival at Spence Farm. The event is scheduled for Sunday at 10 a.m. and will include potters, crafters, sculpters, and much more.
