Woburn Patriot Team Defeated in Everett

This past week, the Woburn Patriots sponsored by Salem Five Insurance, were defeated by Everett.

In the 1st half Woburn started by kicking off to the 25yrd line for Everett to return.  Woburn’s defense consisting of Matthew Walusimbi, David Unobskey, Jacob Casey, Julian Jolicoeur, Eri Ibrahimi and Jimmy Lane tried to stop Everett from the very beginning.  Believe me, there is definitely something in that Everett water folks!  Nic Pascuccio made a clanking tackle yet it wasn’t good enough for Everett to complete a pass and make TD.  The P.A.T was also good.  Woburn 0 – Everett 7.

Everett kicked off for Woburn to return to the 46yrd line, with Everett pig piling on just about most of Woburn’s offensive line of Alec Rollins, Luther Thiogene, Mateus Nunes, John Golles, Angel Semidey, Darren Sanderson and Tommy Nye.  It felt like watching a cage match from a WWE marathon.  Everett gained control of the ball at the 45yrd line.  Everett made a pass that Woburn just couldn’t stop and they ran in for a TD.  The P.A.T was good making the score Woburn 0 – Everett 14.

Woburn’s offense of Louis Clifford, Michael Christopher, Joel Cora, Allan Martin, Henry Johnson, Joe Siverhus were trying desperately to make some yards.  Nelson Claude was handed the ball by Luke Scaramozzino and gained several yards with help by some great blocking, that looked as if it was in slow motion as the fans got excited that looked as if it was in slow motion as the fans got excited, by Elijah Kennedy-Williams, Francis Beckford Jr. and Jacob Casey.  Luke Scaramozzino attempted a pass to Tommy Nye and unfortunately it was missed like trying to swat a fly at a picnic.   Eri Ibrahimi punted and Tommy Nye made a sneak attack tackle on Everett as they caught the ball on the 38yrd line. Gotcha!  Luther Thiogene and Jimmy Lane made superb tackles on the 25yrd line.  Woburn’s defensive line of Joe Silverhus, Nic Pascuccio, Ryan Getherall, Jimmy Lane were doing everything in their power to hold Everett back.  Everett slithered through the defense like a snake seeking its prey then fumbled the ball on the 13yrd line.  Woburn finally got a chance to make something happen before the half ended, yet couldn’t.  Everett got the ball yet again as Woburn punted to the 41yrd line.  Luther Thiogene and David Unobskey made great tag team close line play at the 40yrd line.  Woburn’s defense kept making tackle after tackle, a clank here, a smash there, a toss here way up in the air.  Everett was still gaining yards. I still say it’s the water.  There goes Everett for another TD.  That time the P.A.T was no good.  The score Woburn 0 – Everett 20 ending the 1st half.

The 2nd half was even harder to watch for us Woburn fans, just as this is hard for me to write.  Woburn’s offense tried to make something happen yet just couldn’t.  Everytime they got close they ran out of plays.  Everett got another TD.  The kick was no good and the score was Woburn 0 – Everett 26.  Woburn played with heart and as a team and that’s what the game is about!
