Woburn’s defense of Mateus Nunes, Jacob Casey, Allan Martin, Joe Siverhus , Elijah Kennedy-Williams, Michael Christopher, Matthew Walusimbi, Louis Clifford, and Henry Johnson were ready for Arlington. Darren Sanderson made a great play as he recovered the ball from Arlington on a fumble and brought the ball to the 4yrd line with help from Nic Pascuccio and Eri Ibrahimi. A pass at the 2yrd line was completed to Ryan Getherall at the end zone and it was a TD. The P.A.T was no good. Woburn 6-0

Tommy Nye made a smashing tackle at the 17yrd line, clanking right into Arlington with help from Joe Siverhus, and Joel Cora. Alec Rollins then dove right on top of Arlington’s carrier at the 37yrd line. Again folks, a cluster of Woburn’s defense, Tommy Nye, John Golles, Joe Siverhus and Francis Beckford Jr. knocked Arlington’s offense back 2yrds.  Woburn’s defense was on fire, stopping Arlington in their tracks. Arlington then seemed to get a break until Julian Jolicoeur slammed into them as if he was in the WWE on the 50yrd line. At the 22yrd line Woburn’s Ryan Getherall took that ball and ran like the wind, swerving around Arlington’s defense as if he was in a high-speed chase for a TD. The P.A.T was no good. Woburn 12-0. With seconds left in the half Arlington scored a TD. The kick was no good. Ending the half with Woburn in the lead 12-6.

A great kick by Eri Ibrahimi all the way to the 15yrd line as Tommy Nye tried to recover the ball from Arlington, as if the crowd could almost feel themselves grasping that ball then it rolling off by the tips of their fingers.  Arlington suddenly fumbled the ball as Darren Sanderson swooped the ball like an eagle catching its prey and ran all the way for yet another TD for Woburn. The kick was no good. Woburn leads 18-6.

Woburn kicked off for Arlington to recover the ball yet Arlington’s QB was no match for Woburn’s Tommy Nye who kept snapping him every time he tried to make a play. Along with Woburn’s stupendous offensive blocking Arlington had no advantage. The clock was ticking and time ran out. Woburn won the game 24-12. A great way to start off the season!
