Woburn City Hall is located in downtown Woburn, next to the Fourth District Court of Middlesex County and across theMore street from the historic Woburn Public Library. Most city departments are housed at City Hall, including the Mayor's Office, City Clerk, Conservation Commission, Engineering Department, Inspectional Services and Recreation Department.

The Mary Cummings Park was once a sprawling farm, but has served as a public conservation area on theMore Woburn-Burlington line since 1925. 

In her will, Mary Phelps Cowles (Hall) Cummings donated over 200 acres of land in Woburn and Burlington to the city of Boston to be used as a "public pleasure ground." About 54 acres of the park is in Woburn, with the rest in Burlington. 

Cummings was the wife of John Cummings, a tannery and farm owner in Woburn. In addition to Mary Cummings Park, she also donated property to the city for a playground. 

According to the Woburn Residents' Environmental Network, the conservation land is home to hundreds of species of birds, as well as deer, coyotes, foxes, butterflies, dragonflies and other animals and insects.
