The Salem Five Savings Bank on Main Street was robbed by an unidentifed man wearing a dark blue shirt, jeans and a blue Adidas baseball cap.  According to officials, the man entered the bank on Aug. 23, 2008 and passed a note to a teller before escaping.   The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. Featured Call of the Day: June 27 – At 4:25 p.m., police responded to a 911 report of a bank robbery at the Northern Bank and Trust on Main Street. According to police, witnesses described the subject. The suspect had reportedly crashed his car on Central Street, near Grape Street, and fled the area on foot. An officer working a detail located the man on Montvale Avenue. We have no Idea how many times he already talked to the mom. If he didnt talk to her at all. then its creepy. If he talked to her numerous times, then maybe he is building his case. Obviously he didnt prove his point to the Police, so they were right in telling him to stop taking pics, The best course of action here is to call the Police each and every time so its documented. UPDATED: WPD Quickly Arrest Suspect After Bank Robbery

One under arrest in less than 15 minutes, reports Woburn Police.

  Thursday, 9:25 a.m.—Woburn Police reported Thursday that Michael Kimball, 34, of 252 Medford St. Apt. #309 in Somerville, was arrested and charged with armed robbery (subsequent offense), leaving the scene of an accident and an outstanding warrant for unarmed robbery after Wednesday afternoon's incident on Main Street. At 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a 911 report of a bank robbery at the Northern Bank and Trust on Main Street. According to police, witnesses described the subject and several officers were looking for the man. The suspect had reportedly crashed his car on Central Street, near Grape Street, and fled the area on foot. WPD Asks Public for Help Identifying Suspect

Woburn Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation release photo of possible suspect in Wednesday bank robbery.

Woburn Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are seeking the public's help in identifying a possible suspect in Wednesday's bank robbery at Winchester Savings Bank. According to law enforcement officials, a white male, approximately 5-feet 8-inches to 5-feet 10-inches, 200 pounds, with a muscular build and wearing a dark-colored shirt robbed Winchester Savings Bank on Main Street just after 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. The robber left with an undetermined amount of money, reported Woburn Police Wednesday. Police are also investigating a similar incident that occurred around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. "Approximately 38 minutes earlier, the same individual allegedly attempted to rob Citizens Bank, located at 331 Montvale Ave.," said FBI …

UPDATE: PHOTOS: Winchester Savings Bank Robbed Wednesday

Woburn Police are responding to the Main Street bank for a report of a bank robbery.

Wednesday, 1 p.m.—Woburn Police detectives are investigating the bank robbery at Winchester Savings Bank Wednesday. Officers were also sent to Citizens Bank on Montvale Avenue this morning, around the same time as the Winchester Savings Bank incident, to investigate a report of "suspicious activity." It is unclear if the two incidents are related. Wednesday, 10:30 a.m.—Woburn Police are responding to a report of an armed robbery at Winchester Savings Bank at 573 Main St. Wednesday morning. Shortly after 10 a.m., police received a report of a white male, wearing a black shirt and a black or white Red Sox hat showing a gun and passing a note to the teller.
