UPDATED: Woburn Compounding Center Disciplined

A meningitis outbreak at a Framingham facility prompted an inspection at the Woburn compounding center.

Updated Patch has been informed by PalliMed Solutions that the comounding center was never closed as part of the cease and desist order, as was originally reported. Original story:   The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has issued a cease and desist order to a Woburn-based compounding pharmacy. PalliMed Solutions Pharmacy in Woburn was issued a partial cease and desist notice on November 27 to "halt the production of sildenafil citrate according to the DPH press release. The company has submitted a plan to correct the issue according to the DPH. Sildenafil citrate is better known by the brand name Viagra.
