Woburn Police Cruiser Damaged by Driver After High-Speed Chase

Woburn Police called off the pursuit, but were still able to capture the man Friday afternoon.

Just days after a Woburn resident led Woburn and State Police on a pursuit on the highway, another resident led officers on a chase through city streets Friday afternoon. Jon C. Adams, 30, of 29 Orange St. Apt. #5, was arrested and charged with a marked lanes violation, failure to stop for police, speeding, stop sign violation, operating a motor vehicle after suspension, failure to yield to pedestrians and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, after the Friday chase. At 4:10 p.m. that afternoon, Sgt. Ray Mooney reported seeing a red Honda Civic commit a marked lanes violation at the Montvale Avenue and Washington Street intersection. UPDATED: Woburn Driver Takes Police on High Speed Chase

Mass State Police troopers pursue Woburn woman's car through several towns on Route 95.

UPDATE, Thursday, 11:51 a.m.: Louise Nelson, 49, of Woburn, has been identified as the driver that led police on a highway chase earlier this morning. According to the Mass State Police, Woburn officers attempted to stop Nelson's Toyota Corolla shortly after 10 a.m. Nelson had no license plates on the car, and was known to police as having a suspended driver's license. Nelson will be charged with offenses from both the State Police and Woburn Police. No other vehicles on the highway or cruisers were damaged during the pursuit.
