Five Woburn residents were recently honored as Pacesetters for the 2012 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai.

The following text was provided by the Jimmy Fund Walk: On Sept. 9, 19 residents from Woburn will walk up to 26.2 miles along the historic route of the Boston Marathon in the 24th annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai. They will be among the 9,000 walkers expected to participate with the collective goal of raising more than $7.5 million to support lifesaving adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Lee Kille, of Woburn, is a four-time Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk participant and works as a custodian at Woburn Memorial High School. In 2008, Kille’s mother succumbed to liver cancer.
