We’ll feature the latest deadlines to take a class, join a bus trip to Foxwoods or register to vote. Here are two great programs that Woburn residents will want to know this week. Your last chance to join the North Suburban YMCA with no "joining fee" is June 23. The Y is signing up new members all this week during it's Open House and waiving the $25-50 fee. Also, group exercise classes are open to the community during Open House week (June 17-23). In addition to the no fee program, the YMCA is also offering free memberships for teens between the ages of 13 and 17. Those memberships are valid after June 23.

Your last chance to prepare for the Relay for Life is this week.
Welcome to Last Chance, a new feature that will upcoming deadlines that you may want to know about. We’ll feature the latest deadlines to take a class, join a bus trip to Foxwoods or register to vote. Here is an important date that Woburn residents will want to know this week. The final Relay for Life meeting will be held tonight at the Woburn Police Station at 6:30 p.m. The annual walk for the American Cancer Society is scheduled for May 18 and 19 at Library Park. That means you only have a little time left to prepare—get your T-shirts, raise your last minute funds. There are 254 participants for the Woburn Relay and 27 teams. Since they started raising money, Woburn Relay-ers have amassed over $38,000.

This week is a very important week for many people in our lives. Not only is Mother's Day this Sunday, it's also Nurses Appreciation Week and Teacher Appreciation Week! Make sure to pick up a little special something for these awesome people. But check with your school first, before buying a present for your teacher. Some schools are strict about what types of gifts teachers can accept.

Your last chance to register for some Under-10 2012 Spring Soccer City League teams is Wednesday. Teams that are still looking for players are: Registration is $50. The season ends on June 10, according to the City League's website.

Your last chance to register for the Home Alone Safety/Caring for Children course is today. The class is $30 per participant and will be held at the Kennedy Middle School. The course is tomorrow from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. and is geared toward boys and girls, age 11 and older. You can also register for the Boys and Girls Club "Lil Kids Club" classes this week. We’ll feature the latest deadlines to take a class, join a bus trip to Foxwoods or register to vote. Here is an important date that Woburn residents will want to know this week. Your first chance to take part in the Be Well Woburn Youth Triathlon is today. But it could also be your last chance to take part! The group is only accepting the first 100 registrations! The triathlon is for children in grades Kindergarten through sixth grade. Registration is $10. Print a registration form here on Woburn Patch and drop it off at the Recreation Department office at City Hall.

Your last chance to take part in Woburn Little League Softball tryouts is tonight. Interested players must have turned 8 years old before Dec. 31, 2011. Players who were on a Major League team last summer need not tryout again. Tryouts will be held tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. for players ages 8 to 12 years old at the Joyce Middle School.

The final registration night before tryouts for the 2012-2013 season is this Wednesday, March 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the board room at the O'Brien Rink. New players should bring a copy of their birth certificate to registration, according to the Woburn Youth Hockey website.
