Woburn Mayor to Discuss Gun Reform with Fellow Mass. Mayors

Mayor Scott Galvin will meet with Boston Mayor Tom Menino and the Massachusetts delegation of the Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Woburn Mayor Scott Galvin will head into Boston today and join more than a dozen Massachusetts mayors to discuss ways to move forward with gun reform.  The meeting will include Massachusetts mayors who are a part of the Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a group co-chaired by Boston Mayor Tom Menino. According to a press release issued by Menino's office Wednesday, today's meeting will feature discussion on how to "continue to pressure Congress to take action on common sense gun control." The mayors will talk over ways to mobilize constituents and build support for gun reform, the press release said. Mayors Against Illegal Guns sends a letter outlining steps for President Obama and Congressional leaders to take.
